The Knowledge Of Beauty is a fast-paced, domesticated comedy about the perception
of looks, and the need for perfection beneath the surface. Following the lives of
four school friends, and one bewildered boyfriend…Hayley's just accidently dumped
her boyfriend after revealing she'd rather he looked like actor Bill Nighy. Jenny
is disgusted by the fact she has to do PR for an ugly woman, because it just won't
sell. Sophie is planning designer babies with her one-dimensional husband-to-be.
Marian is wondering why she didn't get a write-up in the local press after her fashion
parade appearance. Neil...well, Neil is just trying to understand. A 50-minute, one-act
play with a slapstick feel. Darker undertones of the world we live in are glossed
over by lively performances from the experienced cast and sharp one-liners.
